At the Yale Child Study Center...

I am involved in numerous projects in Dr. Jou's research group at the Yale Child Study Center. Please see the sections below for more information on the studies that I am currently involved in. They are diverse in their objectives and methodologies, which has been very exciting for me!

01

CASY - Culture and Community

CASY (Cultural Autism Studies at Yale) is an exciting project about the culture of the autistic community. I am thrilled to work with an autistic anthropologist who guides this work and helps us to explore and define the autistic cultural experience.

For the community, I am also providing talks for parents of neurodiverse children. I have a monthly series at the Yale Child Study Center that is also available through Zoom. See the flyer here: Parent Discussion Series

"Beyond Empathy"

I am working on a paper with an autistic anthropologist about the autistic culture's perception and expression of emotion.

SPARK - Genetics

SPARK is the largest autism research project ever conducted. SPARK at Yale is New England's premiere research site and is responsible for supporting this incredible work in the area. SPARK is powering autism research throughout the nation and is uncovering genetic biomarkers for autism and related comorbid conditions.

Clinical Trials

I've enjoyed MapLight, one of our clinical trials involving eye-tracking, biosamples, and EKG.

We recently wrapped a study called "GABA," another one of our clinical trials, involving EEG, biosamples, and many standardized assessment tools.

We have several other clinical trial studies in various stages of study (Phase 1, Phase 2; from site qualification to close-out).
